Outsourcing 'can offer financial and operational benefits'
Outsourcing business functions can provide companies with a potentially wide array of benefits, both in practical and financial terms.
This is according to Ewan McKay, marketing manager at outsourced contact centre services and software solutions provider Response, who said allowing third parties to deliver key business functions can be an ideal solution for firms of all descriptions.
"Almost all organisations outsource some of their operation, including marketing, IT provision, printing and customer management, to name a few," he observed.
According to Mr McKay, outsourcing can help firms to reduce service costs, offer greater scalability and flexibility, and allow companies to gain access to external expertise in relevant fields.
In turn, this will mean that acknowledged experts can be entrusted with the task of handling non-core functions, improving service quality for clients while allowing companies to focus on their core business strategy.
Last month, a survey from field sales organisation PerDM revealed that many global firms are currently seeking to outsource sales and marketing functions as a means of reducing costs.
