Good change management is linked to success, says report
New research has indicated that the most successful organisations are the ones with a positive approach to managing change.
According to People Management magazine, the annual Management Agenda from Roffey Park identifies a direct link between the way companies practise change management and their financial and strategic performance.
The report, which is based on a survey of over 900 managers, discovered that the most successful organisations allow factors such as client need, efficiency and quality to motivate change.
Jo Hennessy, director of research at Roffey Park, told the publication that focusing on the drivers of change should help under-achieving businesses to "maximise performance".
She added: "They should avoid change that is driven by internal politics or driven solely by cost and focus on changes driven by customer needs."
The Management Agenda also found that well-performing organisations are more likely to invest in leadership development and sustainability initiatives.
