Speed 'becoming more of a priority in change management'
Companies undertaking change management initiatives have been advised that speed is becoming a more prominent issue in recent times.
Leadership consultancy First100 has stated that performance acceleration across a range of different areas, including leadership development and talent management, is becoming crucial in the current competitive business climate.
As such, it has become vital for newly-appointed company heads to "hit the ground running", creating a holistic plan of action within 100 days, rather than the old model of giving a management team a year or so to "get comfortable".
Fiona Rawlinson, managing director of First100, said this is why serious businesses are making investments in their senior staff, despite the constrained financial environment.
"There has been a definite realisation in the past six to nine months that treading water is no longer an option," she said.
