REC names interim management as key area for 2010
The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) has said that interim management will be one of the organisation's main areas of activity over the next 12 months.
According to the industry body, forthcoming industry campaigns will focus on the interim management sector as well as healthcare, technology, financial services and construction.
Director of external relations Tom Hadley said that the REC is preparing to engage with an "action-packed regulatory agenda" consisting of several "red hot issues" this year.
He added: "We will use developments in areas such as safe recruitment and equality to highlight the positive contribution of the industry."
Other key policy campaigns highlighted by the REC for 2010 include influencing labour market policy on a national and European level, as well as attempting to limit the impact of pensions reform.
The organisation recently paid tribute to the contribution of interim managers and temporary workers in keeping businesses moving over the Christmas holiday period.
