29 January 2016

Odgers Interim, the UK’s leading interim management recruiter, has expanded its healthcare sector offering with the appointment of Rebecca Cooper.

With an already well-established practice in board and senior level recruitment within the sector, Rebecca’s appointment for middle management roles signals an expansion of its candidate reach in healthcare.

A recruitment specialist with over five years’ experience in the industry, Rebecca has worked with a range of public sector organisations including acute, community and mental health providers, as well as working closely with NHS England, Commissioning Support Units (CSUs) and Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs).

Rebecca, who is be based in Odgers Interim’s Birmingham office, will work across corporate functions, as well as operational improvement, governance, transformation and project and programme management, to source talent for interim positions.

Grant Speed, Managing Director at Odgers Interim, said: “Due to the scale of transformational change underway in the NHS, we’ve broadened our long established healthcare practice to help bridge emerging skills gaps. Rebecca’s vast experience makes her ideally placed to spearhead our move into support for mid-tier management positions while offering our Midlands client base a dedicated regional point of contact.”

Rebecca added: “The NHS faces a dual challenge of delivering consistently high levels of care, while coping with a variety of HR, operational, and logistical challenges which are the result of numerous major new reform programmes running concurrently.

“There is acute demand for individuals who have experience in both the private and public sectors, especially for those who have managed major organisational changes or mergers.”

Rebecca’s appointment follows that of Emma Whittle who fulfils the same remit for the North, underpinned by SJ Leatherdale, Sarah Lovell, Dan Kiely and Nick Behan who recruit for board and senior positions within Healthcare.
