26 November 2009

In the article Is Interim Management a career choice or stop gap?, The Guardian says "People shaken out of full-time roles have taken to interim work - but will they stay?"

Many experienced people who have been shaken out of permanent roles are coming to work in interim management. 58 year old Daily who became interim head of e-government in Tower Hamlets is delighted that he made the leap and doubts he would return to a permanent role. And he is not alone according to interim recruitment consultants.

Paul Botting, chairman of IMA says the profile of candidates is changing "More professionals with 15 - 20 years experience are now considering interim management than would have done five years ago"

Paul Botting is also the Managing Director of OdgersInterim which is interim management division of the UK's leading headhunters, Odgers Berndtson.
