Interim managers 'offer useful skills'
Businesses have been encouraged to consider the advantages of using interim management teams.
According to talent management consultancy Ochre House, turnaround directors have become sought after because they offer a number of relevant skills that could boost a company's performance, OnRec reports.
Martin Smith, director of the group, commented: "Career interim managers are highly professional in their approach."
He added that the key attribute of a skilled interim is the ability to turn a project round effectively within the allotted time and budget.
Mr Smith also noted that companies considering bringing in a transition team want to recruit a person who is able to think in a "strategic context".
According to figures from Ochre House, demand for interims is particularly high in the human resources sector, as HR professionals with significant change management experience are being courted with salaries of up to £80,000.
A recent Personnel Today report revealed that an increasing number of experienced human resources professionals are choosing to seek interim management positions.
