Interim manager appointed at Pro Manchester
Financial and professional services networking group Pro Manchester has praised the credentials of its new interim manager.
Robert Sheffrin has been appointed on a temporary basis until a permanent chief executive officer (CEO) is recruited.
Simon Oldfield, chairman of the north-west-based body, said Mr Sheffrin has the relevant knowledge and skills to handle its affairs for the immediate future.
"Robert has an intimate understanding of our organisation and is well-placed to oversee our ongoing activity," he commented.
Mr Sheffrin, formerly president of the Manchester Society of Chartered Accountants, already occupies a position in the boardroom.
However, Pro Manchester has been without a CEO since the start of the year, as the previous incumbent Daniel Mouwad now works with UK Trade and Investment in India.
Speaking at the time of his departure, he noted that professionals in Manchester have shown great resilience and tenacity throughout the recent economic slump.
