Interim management reduces expansion risks
Corporations can reduce the risks involved in expanding their operations in the current climate by hiring an interim management team.
That is according to the consultant Barry Willmore, who has identified that the use of transitional executives in the UK has grown by a quarter in the past year, the Bangkok Post reported.
Mr Willmore, who works in the Far East, suggested that a decline in staffing budgets has created an opportunity for more board-level professionals to occupy short-term contracts.
He told the newspaper: "In difficult times, companies are still looking for skills and experience but don't want to make that permanent investment."
Executives looking to make a career move into interim management must have a "high fortitude for chaos", according to a study carried out by InterimCEO/InterimCFO earlier this week.
In addition, the results of the poll discovered that heads of transitional teams must be emotionally intelligent and be able to maintain a positive working culture.
