Back in June 1989, at a meeting at the Athenaeum Club, Chris Behan, the very first Managing Director of Odgers Interim, was talking to a fellow management consultant about a new management tool called “Interim Management”. Chris commented that within five years it would be accepted in business and within 10 years it would be in the Oxford English Dictionary. The consultant’s response was negative, whilst Chris’ was to bet that he would be right. So, he sent a letter to the Oxford University Press and the rest, as they say, is history.
