Interim executive recruitment 'offers quick access to talent'

Hiring executives on an interim basis could prove an ideal way for companies to quickly gain access to high-quality talent and expertise.

Marc Lawn, managing director of consultancy service, said the real-life experience offered by interim managers means they can "hit the ground running", offering benefits to businesses of all shapes and sizes.

Advantages of interim recruitment include the flexibility they can provide in terms of moving quickly on new initiatives or offering crucial support on additional projects.

Moreover, the fact interims do not come from within the company itself means they are better placed to be able to challenge and overcome longstanding conventions, noted Mr Lawn.

He said: "The key to success for the business is being very clear on the objective and deliverable goals for the interim and matching these to the skills, as well as ensuring they are a good cultural fit."
