Gulf corporations seek UK interim executives
Corporations based in the Gulf States are increasingly looking for executives from UK organisations to occupy interim management positions.
That is according to research conducted by GulfTalent, which revealed that companies headquartered in Gulf Corporation Council (GCC) countries have begun to search for more experienced candidates with the ability to create strategies suited to present market conditions.
Specifically, the National reported that the changing employment market in the Middle East has created demand for interim managers aged between 35 and 50 with knowledge of the infrastructure and financial services sectors.
The GulfTalent report stated that employers are "looking for candidates who are perceived to add value from day one".
The value of interim executives to corporations has been promoted by a number of industry specialists since the outbreak of recession, including the Interim Management Association.
Identifying that the economic downturn has created a huge pool of labour, the organisation explained that temporary directors bring a fresh perspective and justify their greater salaries.
