Employees receive advice on change management

19 February 2013

A new book advising employees on how to deal with change management has been published by research company Prosci.

The book, which is the third edition of the Employee's Survival Guide to Change, is designed to help workers through periods of major organisational change with practical information and examples from real-life cases.

According to the publisher, companies have been using the volume to engage with employees and empower them to succeed during change initiatives.

Iris Perez of education publisher Pearson said the book can benefit employees because it "gives them the power of choice and tells them what actions they can take to make the change easier".

She added: "It also gives them language and a way to talk with their manager and others about change."

With several studies indicating that between 70 and 90 per cent of all change initiatives are not successful, providing more support for employees in this manner could be a way for organisations to strengthen their approach.
