Coaching 'a vital element of successful change management'
Implementing coaching measures can be vital to helping businesses execute successful change management strategies.
This is to be a key topic for discussion at a forthcoming conference organised by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), which will highlight coaching as a "cornerstone of high performance" in change management.
The organisation will be conducting workshops that will underline the way in which offering proper guidance and education on business issues can make employees more agile and create flexible work practices.
Dr John McGurk, adviser for learning and talent at the CIPD, noted that a recent Learning and Talent Development survey showed that more than four-fifths of UK organisations currently use some form of coaching.
He added: "Maximising value for business should be top of any organisation's agenda and coaching aligned to business objectives can be a way to achieve this."
This comes after Philip Lieberman of security software firm Lieberman Software told Financial Director last month that change management is an especially important task for firms undertaking large-scale IT outsourcing.
