Change management 'a growing issue for British businesses'

4 September 2011

Change management is becoming an increasingly central issue for UK companies due to the challenging nature of the current market.

This is according to Faith Forster, leader of the Change Management Institute in the UK, who stated that business evolution has become vital in the face of drastic alterations to industry conditions and the expectations of consumers.

The institute is currently preparing to host its inaugural British conference in London - titled Benchmarks, Boundaries & Beyond - at the end of October, during which it will offer guidance on key management issues, reports

Ms Forster said it is beneficial for those tasked with dealing with change management issues to seek guidance on best practice.

"These challenges are unique in their scale and complexity, forcing all of us to rethink the way we manage change as organisations and individuals," she said.

Last month, the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development highlighted coaching as a "cornerstone of high performance" among firms wishing to prepare their companies for change.
