Chris has been in senior level recruitment for 14 years. He works within the Commercial Interim Division within the Energy, Manufacturing & Infrastructure Practice with a particular focus on Transportation. Prior to moving to Interim, he headed up the Private Sector permanent recruitment for the Wales Practice recruiting across general management, operations, HR, finance, sales & marketing and manufacturing. He bases himself between the Cardiff and London offices.

Originally from Llanelli, Chris graduated with a Joint Honours BSc in Geology and Geography from the University of London, before serving as an officer in the Royal Regiment of Wales for six years.

Chris began his career in recruitment in Hong Kong with O’Neill Associates (now part of a leading executive search firm) focusing on the financial / derivatives markets. Upon returning to the UK, he joined a national recruitment company in Cardiff managing their Senior Financial appointments, before setting up his own Executive Recruitment company in Cardiff trading as Professional Recruitment which he ran for ten years prior to joining Odgers Berndtson in 2009.

I dealt with Odgers Interim and Chris Jones to assist me to gap fill a Corporate Services Director position. On sourcing the role I asked Chris to look at candidates with previous exposure to finance, HR, IT and legal which was a challenging brief. He delivered a niche shortlist of three candidates that we interviewed and chose one to deliver the 6 month position. Chris was helpful throughout the process and kept in regular contact with us during the assignment, I would recommend him and Odgers Interim going forward.
