Charlotte Baker joined Odgers Berndtson in September 2004. She was hired to develop the public sector interim practice because of her reputation for developing successful practices for Odgers’ competitors. She is a partner and has overall responsibility for the charity sector, government, healthcare & the NHS, sporting bodies and professional and trade associations.

Charlotte entered executive search with PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1997. After five years as a consultant in the commercial sector concentrating on finance and media appointments, she moved onto public appointments. Before she joined PricewaterhouseCoopers she worked in general management and recruitment businesses, cutting her recruitment teeth in London and East Anglia.

Charlotte was educated at Chelmsford High School and then went to spend a year in Israel on a kibbutz. On her return she studied for a BEd in special education, but wanderlust got the better of her and she chose not to finish her degree, preferring to travel. Periods abroad have included almost two years in Latin America and a year on the Indian subcontinent.

Charlotte is a dynamic and inspirational leader and is known for her ability to build a tight-knit and effective team.
