Duncan is a member of the Commercial Interim Division working within the Energy, Manufacturing and Infrastructure Practice. He works with clients in the Business and Support Services, Utilities, Renewables and Construction sectors. Duncan manages assignments across all disciplines and works from the Leeds, Manchester and London offices.
After graduating with a degree from Leeds and an MA in Theology from Bristol University, he spent two years teaching English as a foreign language to businesses in Bilbao, northern Spain. In 2001 he successfully completed a European MBA at La Universidad Commercial Bilbao before returning to the UK to start his career in recruitment. Duncan has worked for both a large multinational recruitment firm and a well known regional finance specialist in Leeds where he grew their contract and interim offering across the region.
Prior to joining Odgers Interim in August 2010, he spent over three years developing a highly successful commercial practice for a leading independent interim provider. Duncan has handled a broad range of critical assignments for SMEs, FTSE listed multinationals and private equity backed businesses. He is particularly well placed to support clients with gap management, turnarounds and project and programme management.

As the role of the finance function in corporate decision-making becomes ever-increasingly important, so the demands on finance leaders are rising.
HR has become a commercial business partnering role; finding candidates who can make a genuine contribution to the organisation is paramount to a successful appointment.
Today's Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) play a vital role in the creation of the firm's strategic plan and in articulating how technology can enable business strategies.
The law plays an increasing role in business life today; corporate and practicing lawyers at the height of their profession are hard to attract.
Sales & Marketing
Finding quality sales and marketing people who will really deliver for your organisation is all about uncovering what’s behind the personal pitch.
I have been an Interim Executive for over 10 years and regard Odgers Interim as one of my key providers. The reputation of Odgers means that they deal with high quality clients across many sectors and disciplines. I met Duncan Hoggett to present my background and experience and found that he picked up very quickly what type of assignments I would prefer and in which I would be able to give good value to the client. For my last assignment, Duncan gave a full introduction to the client's requirements and good feedback from my initial interview with the client. Thereafter, he kept in touch throughout the assignment, although not being intrusive, to check on progress both with me and with the client and also carried out an end of assignment de-brief to ensure that I had met the client's expectations. I have no hesitation in recommending Odgers Interim to both candidates and clients and look forward to building my own relationship with them.
