Caroline Jones is a consultant in the interim practice and is based in our Leeds office. She focuses on the healthcare and not-for-profit sectors, providing interim executives to organisations requiring short-term skills or an executive to fill a management gap.

Caroline has worked in executive search and selection for the last 12 years, recruiting across public and commercial sectors. Her experience includes interim management and managed payroll services.  She joined Odgers Berndtson in January 2006 from a specialist public sector search firm and has expanded our interim practice regionally with appointments in local and central government, housing, regeneration and charities.

Caroline graduated with a 2.1 in Communications and in her early career successfully developed and managed search and selection practices for firms in the financial markets sector. Caroline was keen to recruit in the public sector because she comes from a family with a strong commitment to public service, particularly the fire service.  Her grandfather was head of the fire brigade between 1972 and 1980.

Sectors

  • Charities

Successfully appointing senior individuals within charities and foundations requires specialist knowledge and a light touch particularly when bringing commercial values to the operation of an institution known better for its philanthropic aims, or perhaps its reputation in scientific research or academia.

  • Healthcare

The evolution of healthcare continues to provide challenges for organisations across the public and private spectrum. Both sectors need to increase their capacity to hire individuals who recognise the need to focus on delivery whilst adding value.

Functions

  • Board & CEO

As world-class organisations grapple with the global challenges of the 21st century, it is their leaders that define success.

  • Corporate Communications

Chief executives are recognising the importance of strengthening and protecting corporate reputation and the vital role played by corporate communications in doing this.

  • Financial Management

As the role of the finance function in corporate decision-making becomes ever-increasingly important, so the demands on finance leaders are rising.

  • Human Resources

HR has become a commercial business partnering role; finding candidates who can make a genuine contribution to the organisation is paramount to a successful appointment.

  • IT Management

Today's Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) play a vital role in the creation of the firm's strategic plan and in articulating how technology can enable business strategies.

  • Legal

The law plays an increasing role in business life today; corporate and practicing lawyers at the height of their profession are hard to attract.

  • Sales & Marketing

Finding quality sales and marketing people who will really deliver for your organisation is all about uncovering what’s behind the personal pitch.

  • Procurement & Supply Chain

Odgers Interim are leaders in interim procurement and interim supply chain appointments. As the demand for specialist procurement & supply chain expertise increases our practice recognises the need for an international network of interim managers.
